The first post...

So I decided that my Web site needed a simplified structure. The design was almost two years old, and I went to the site the other night and realized that my last 'Update' (a somewhat homemade blog) was from October. My life is different now, and I have many things taking up time in my life that leaves me little time to make detailed updates. And then I started to realize... I keep my MySpace profile pretty much up to date.. I keep my Facebook profile up to date... and I've recently joined LinkedIn for professional networking... so why was I even bothering keeping a 'bio' on my Web page when I have my bio all over the Internet. So you'll notice my Web site has been steamlined and is now the portal to my existence on the Internet. I think most people were only going to my site to look at the pictures anyways... to see what crazy things we get into on the weekends... or what not.

So instead of 'Updates', I finally broke down and decided to keep a blog. I'm one of those people that tends to adopt electronic trends very late. Unless I have a dying need for it, I'm content. I still don't have an i-pod...and don't think I'll get one anytime soon. So I've finally decided to keep a blog. It's easier, simple, and people can comment on my posts... but I also thought I'd try something new. I'm going to invite some of my friends to contribute to this blog also.

I see this becoming just a way for all my friends to keep in touch and entertain each other...posting random thoughts, updates with our lives, and musings. It also becomes a random collection of posts for you randoms out there to read if you're bored...

What do you think?

Check out the new christyweb.com design.

P.S. Are you ready for Punchfest? 126 people attending per the evite...and that's not everybody.
